Following what is expected to be a wild success with Hyperspace Mountain at Disneyland Paris, the resort has this morning confirmed its plans for the future beyond the twenty-fifth anniversary: each year Space Mountain will be vaguely rethemed to a new film franchise.
This morning I spent far longer than I’d like to admit scrolling through images of the beautifully refurbished Big Thunder Mountain. It’s exquisite. The colours are vibrant, the effects are working, and FINALLY the geysers are once again exploding!
The rumours about a Star Wars overlay for Space Mountain return to the fore, and we get drift of some small updates about the potential refurbishments of Studio Tram Tour and Phantom Manor. There’s also the possibility that Disney Dreams! could see an update for the 25th Anniversary celebrations in summer 2017.
The rumours of last month have been confirmed, so now we know exactly what the Star Wars Season of the Force will include. But the rumours have kept coming, and they could spell the end of a dark ride – either Buzz Lightyear or Snow White – at Disneyland Paris.
