This year’s Halloween Festival runs from 1st October to 2nd November, so if you’re lucky enough to be visiting Disneyland Paris during this spooky season, here’s a quick run-down of what to expect at the most Maleficent Halloween ever in Disneyland Park!
Halloween decorations are getting bigger and better than ever this year, most notably with the Castle Courtyard (the open area at the rear of the Castle in Fantasyland) being transformed into Maleficent’s Court. A dragon made of sinister brambles will form the back-drop of an exclusive Disney Villains meet ‘n’ greet, with special lighting effects to make Maleficent’s Court even more imposing at night.
These won’t be the only extra Halloween characters around the Disneyland Park though, every day in the Central Plaza the Disney Villains will form a special Halloween promenade, while Minnie Mouse can be met at her Costume Corner and Goofy can be met at his bonbon machine, both in Main Street.
Moving on to Frontierland, Jack and Sally from Tim Burton’s Nightmare before Christmas can be found at their Cemetery just outside of Phantom Manor, while the rest of Frontierland will receive a spectacular Harvest overlay. Doorsteps will be busied by pumpkins and pumpkin men, and a new orange and black Halloween colour scheme will make Frontierland even more special.
The Harvest theme can also be found in the special Halloween cavalcade parade: Mickey’s Halloween Celebration, which includes characters, dancers and a new float for this year which will bring farmyard favourites – The Three Little Pigs, Clarabelle and Horace Horsecollar – to Disneyland Paris.
But, this isn’t all, because Main Street will also see an invasion of cartoon ghosts! The jolly former residents of Main Street will be back to help spread the Harvest Festival cheer and to give Main Street a truly unique feel for the season.
So, if you love exclusive Halloween decorations and a plethora of characters – this Halloween season is going to be one for the memory books!
